WTF?

I have worked out so hard for almost three weeks straight now. My body is feeling strong and I can see my muscle definition. My friend, who is a boy, says my legs 'feel like rocks'. The scale says I've gained two lbs. ?????

What are you eating?

Hey, welcome to Biggest Loser! It'll be great to talk to you here, too, not just on Facebook. Maybe you're gaining muscle?

keep at it! Don't let it discourage you, sometimes the body just fluctuates. I was up 2 lbs yesterday and I was freaking out over it, today, I'm back down. Just keep at it. I know how frustrating it is though! I wanted to jump up and down and scream!

If you are gaining muscle tone, than you will start burning more calories, so you are definitely headed in the right direction.
Last competition I worked out super hard. Usually did weights or an abs workout and ran 6 days a week. But I didn't lose much until I figured out a balance with eating. I think it just takes some time until you figure out that balance...
but don't get discouraged, all that exercise will pay off.

Muscle weighs more than fat so its normal to gain a little with more muscle. However as vicki said muscle burns more calories than fat so keep working and u will see the scale go down.

Thank you all. I know I will eventually start losing. I'm just working so hard. I may not be eating enough to tell you the truth. I may need to start tracking in fitday to get an idea of what I'm burning and taking in.

Keep it up. Would you rather be lean and muscular or fat and smushy? I always said I want to be a size 8 (or smaller) I don't care what weight I am at cause it is all about the visual.

Brit, I had the same problem and after the 30 days I still hadn't lost ANY weight. But read Chalene's blog here: http://chalenejohnson.blogspot.com/2009/01/why-do-you-sometimes-gain-weight-when.html

For sure eat more Brittney! Don't let all that hard work go to waste! You so DESERVE to see a smaller number on that dang scale!
